Pittsfield Massachusetts Mayor Peter Marchetti Proclaimed June 16, 2024 as Electromagnetic Sensitivity Day. Amelia Gilardi worked on the issue for her 10th grade civics project. Her family is one of several families that documented injury from a nearby cell tower leading to the Pittsfield Board of Health voting to send a cease and desist order to Verizon regarding its tower.
